Hi my right ear has been hurting. Like when I chew or swallow my food it just like aches. In the inside of my ear has just been in pain. I really don't know what to do, it has been hurting for the whole day. Is it an ear infection or something that has to do with my jaw?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful ears when swallowing which is due to Eustachian tube dysfunction which is leading to creation of negative pressure inside ears. It could be due to earwax accumulation, ear infection and otitis media. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist again for proper examination. Doctor may clean the ear to remove ear wax or prescribe antibiotics for at least 10 days along with decongestants. Doctor should also give proper treatment for cold and flu , because these can be contributing factors in causing ear infection. Keep you ears dry , cover them while bathing and keep warm compresses on external ear 2-3 times a day , it will evaporate water from ear .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
