What Causes Painful Ear With History Of Arachnoid Cyst In Brain?

My ear hurts. There is no fever. I have been told I have or had fluid in my ear. I have had a achnoid cist which did block spinal fluid on my brain in 2002. I have complained off an on about my ear. I do have fall allergies at this time of year. It is this time of year it bothers me the most. I get mixed messages as to what my problem is. I feel they think I am paranoid about my ear, BUT it hurts.

Check whether this flu is or by any chance csf behind ear drum in view of your history. Middle ear fluid should be aspirated if present. Allergies can be a cause. Can take anti inflammatories, mucolytic.syrup and exercises if not doing any aspiration or drainage of fluid
