Painful heart palpitations after exertion suggest that certain area of your heart might be getting less blood supply as compared to what is needed. Plus the associated radiating pain in left arm and leg also point towards the same. However, in some cases, palpitations might also happen due to some anemic disease where cardiopulmonary reserve is low. Consult a cardiologist and get your ECG, ECHO and Stress TMT tests done which will rule out any serious cardiac disease. Also, as you father suffers from angina, their is a slight increased probability of you suffering from the same.
