What Causes Painful Intercourse And Brown Vaginal Discharge?

3 days ago on friday I had sex 3 times with my husband through out the day, by the end of the second time I was in a little pain, but I figured it was because I was too dry and we were being pretty rough.. The beggining of the third time was fairly painful but after we got started it stopped hurting. And every time he had to "re-insert" his penis in me it hurt a little, but always stopped pretty quickly. we used a condom one of the 3 times that day, so we were unprotected 2 of them. I am on depo provera though. The following day we had sex again and like the day before it was pretty painful at the start but it went away and came back every time he had to re-insert. The next day was Sunday, and I was having light brown discharge but it was so light i couldn't consider it light brown, I only saw it once and never noticed it again that day, the next day I woke up with dark brown discharge in my underwear with a tent of red in it, but when I whipped it was only light brown, I cleaned myself very good but it continued to come out a very light brown color. the scent isnt abnormal, and my vagina was slightly itchy when the discharge started. it's Tuesday now and it's not coming out but it is still in my vagina, it is still light brown and without odor.. what could this be?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

In my opinion the brownish discharge is due to the rough sexual intercourse that you and your husband had. The main thing that you need to avoid is avoid having sexual intercourse while you are not well lubricated.

The pain that you experienced was due to a lack of proper lubrication and so make sure you request your husband to involve in sufficient amount of foreplay and you could also use an artificial lubricant to help prevent the pain and also the abrasions that can result.

For now, make sure you avoid intercourse for a while so you can give your inner mucosa to heal. Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
