What Causes Painful Intercourse And Lower Abdominal Pain?
Good morning, I am concerned please help. I had spots in my period this month thick anc brown but very small amount, Am not pregnant. I have back pain and lower abdomen pain and also experience labia pain during intercourse this this I have experienced only once
Your symptoms are suggestive of a pelvic cause for the pain, along with some vaginosis. Your abnormal menstrual bleeding during this cycle is suggestive.
I would ask you to have a proper clinical exam along with a sonogram of the pelvis, preferably in the transvaginal route to detect the cause and plan further management.
Urinalysis and a swab from the cervix/vagina are also useful.
Please maintain proper genital hygiene. Avoid tampons. Do not douche. Use mild antiseptic lotions instead. Avoid tight synthetic undergarments.
Anti-spasmodic medication can offer temporary relief from the pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
