The left side of my throat has a big knot that hurts really bad. I have not been able to eat because it is very painful. And in my mouth, under my tongue, there is more. I do have lupus and I have had similar attacks. But, I must say, this one is the most painful
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your history of lupus with similar attacks in the past.
Now you have got a a big knot on the left side of your throat which is really hurting so bad that you are not able to eat. There is additional one under the tongue.
You posting picture would have helped me. This may be either a lupus or aphthoid ulcers. You can certainly get the confirmation only after an examination by an ENT or Oral surgeon. Please get this done as the treatment of both the conditions is different.
Till then you can have anesthetic gel locally, take plenty of water orally as it helps to self cleans the parts as well as avoids dehydration. A proper treatment will solve the problems.
