Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had an irritatable bowel all my life. I have not had a colonoscopy for 20 years. There is a soft tissue like lump above the anus and hurts when I use tissue. It sometimes bleeds, after a hard bowel movement … light red! I have only had a hemmoroid [?] during my first child birth… have had 3 children. But, I have never had a problem with them. This is way above, so I feel that is not what it is… would be very surprised if it was! I am running scared right now and know I should see a doctor. But, in the meantime please relieve my stress! BJ Riordan
Hello Ma'am I really appreciate your concern You need not to worry, Looking at your description it seems to be a treatable condition and you will be alright once you start treatment after consulting doctor.
In my opinion this could be hemorrhoids, anal skin fold or infected anal gland. Another possibility is fissure in anus or a rectal polyp
I would like further information like your age and relevant medical history since how long you have this problem
I would advise you to avoid constipation by taking laxatives or stool softening agents like liquid paraffin or lactulose Sitz bath twice daily lignocaine ointment to be applied locally to relieve pain
Hope this helps you best wishes
