What Causes Painful Lump On Knuckle?

Hi About two weeks ago I accidentally hit my knuckle hard on the handrail of my running machine. My hand was in a fist. Initially the knuckle and finger swelled rapidly and there was bruising all over that one finger. All of the bruising and swelling has now gone down except that I have a pea sized lump on the knuckle itself. I can bend the finger normally but with a bit of pain. Should I be worried or will it subside by itself. Thanks

Lump in question is a haematoma(collection of blood) due to trauma sustained by you. There is nothing to worry. It will subside with the time.
