What Causes Painful Lump On Left Side Of Throat?

It feels like there is a lump on the left side of my throat and it is very painful to swallow, I just took some lozenges and I think it has worsened, It now feels like a pulsating pain in the back of my throat on the left side. I flashed a light into it and it is now bleeding as well.

Hi,Dear I studied your query in all it details and I understood your concerns.
Cause -
On the facts given from you,I would advise you to have Consultation from ER Ent- Surgeon as your query needs a lot more information by clinical examination.
Still on whatever limited facts given from you, and with my experience My opinion is as follows-
The lump on left side of throat seems to be due to Acute Tonsillitis, with acute pharyngitis with it.Hence its bleeding after taking lozenges.
But don't worry its definitely not cancerous, from the facts given from you.
