What Causes Painful Lump On The Face?

I have a lump like a dot on the side of my face right infront of my ear painful gives off aches and stabbing pain but my head and neck doc said prob allergies but it s still there months later I also had a MRI done but they said nothing s wrong is their anything wrong ?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having either a furuncle or sebaceous cyst.
My treatment advice -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
5. Furuncle will be cured by this treatment. If it is a cyst, then it needs to be excised.
