Hello,
Painful lump on the right lip of the vagina is indicative of Bartholin's
cyst. It is caused due to irritation,
injury, bacterial infections, STIs etc. Consult a gynecologist, get STD tests done. If reports come positive you will be treated with antibiotics or antivirals. Take sitz bath for relieve from pain and discomfort. You can take
acetaminophen or
naproxen, one stat after food to help reduce pain, swelling and inflammation.
You're treating Gynae may need to surgically drain it. Antiseptic dressing will be done. You will be treated with a course of antibiotics like
Augmentin or penicillin, whatever suits you better. Removal of the Bartholin's gland is done only when the symptoms get worse. Take care of your hygiene. Avoid sex or any sexual activity till you heal.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
