What Causes Painful Red Pimple On Cheek After Having Duphaston?

Hi doctor. I am 7 weeks pregnant and due to recent travelling, gyno suggested duphaston tablet to avoid miscarriage. On taking the tablet, I started getting big red pimple on my left cheek which js very painful. I usually get 1 - 3 pimples in a month but this one is very big. Even after applying clindoxyl for 2 nights it dint subside. What can I do or avoid scarring and reduce the inflammation and stop getting new pimples.

As per your complain it seems that pimple eruption after taking Duphaston seems to be due to changes in hormonal levels as Duphaston is a hormone replacement therapy..
Eruption of pimples after intake of hormones causing hormonal imbalances is a common cause of pimples..
I would suggest you to take topical treatment and avoid any kind of oral medications as you are pregnant..
You can start washing your face with Salicylic acid containing facewash..
You can apply gels containing Clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide over the pimples..
Do cool compresss over the pimples..
Exfoliate your skin twice a week to prevent clogging of pores and it will help in preventing infection..
Avoid oily food and take a nutritious diet..
