What Causes Painful, Scratchy Throat After Being Around People Getting Nebulizations?
I work as a CNA, and when the nurses are doing the nebulizer treatments with the residents, im passing out water, snacks, and getting ppl to bed. Well when i go in and out of the rooms with the people getting nebulizer treatments done, my throat starts hurting, and kinda scratchy feeling and my ears start hurting. Could I be allergic, or why does this happen?

HI
Thanks for psting your query.
Most of the medications used in nebullizers , if inhaled through most cause dryness and sticky sensation or irritation in mouth and throat. It is normal and doesn't mean you are allergic .
Next time you go around , keep breathing from nose and not from mouth . And don't spend too much time in and arounds nebulizing rooms.
Hope this information was useful to you . Any clarification feel free to ask.
