What Causes Painful Swelling In The Knee, Calf And Ankle Despite Taking Medication?
hi, my husband s knee was painful & swollen for approx. 2 weeks, someone mentioned that it could be gout (which he gets in his foot) so he took a round of gout medication. The pain is about 80% gone but the swelling is still there and now his calf & ankle are also swollen with pain in his calf. No recent injury has occurred with this leg.

It could be arthritis or ligament or tendon injury.
Consult an orthopaedician and get an MRI scan done.
