What Causes Painful Swollen Foot When Had Tarsal Tunnel Release On Foot?

I have had tarsal tunnel release performed on my rt. foot @ 8 years ago and has been doing better. I noticed that the foot is aching a whole lot more and there is actually a swollen and hurting area on top of the foot. any idea what would be going on with it? thank you,

how old are you now? after going through query it could be arthritis or calcium/Vitamin D deficiency.So,my advice would be regular ankle and foot excercises with diet rich in calcium/vitaminD like milk and milk products along with hot water fomentation.
