What Causes Painful Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Groin?

I seem to have swollen lymph nodes in the right groin area. I just noticed in in the last 3 weeks. it is a dull pain but nothing sharp or extreme. I do work out routinely but I don t remember an incident that caused it. Should I give it time or see my internist soon. I m 57. Jim

swollen lymph nodes in the groin region means an infection in its draining area which can include you lower limb all the way down to toes, peri anal area, external genital organs. it is better to have a detailed examination by a doctor to find out the cause of infection and if necessary run few tests to exclude anything serious.
