What Causes Painful Swollen Lymph Nodes On The Pelvis?
Hello. I am a 33 year old female with very painful and swollen lymph nodes on both sides of my pelvis. I went to the doctor 2 days ago. They did a swab and a urine dip test. The doctor said that the initial test showed elevated white blood cells and that she was sending my labs off for further tests. She believes that I have some sort of infection, so she sent me home with 3 different antibiotics. The doctor hasn t contacted me yet with the results. I have been taking my meds, but the swollen lymph nodes seem to be becoming more enlarged and painful. I m beginning to worry. Thank you.
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. If the swelling is increasing and if you notice the redness , then it suggests the swelling is getting liquified that means abscess is formed. In that situation i suggest to drian the pus , if doubt about abscess. You can get done an ultrasound of the swelling to confirm it. Antibiotics alone wont work if pus is there inside, that needs be removed.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Wishing you good health.
