What Causes Painful Tingling Sensation In The Hands And Feet?

Hi, I am a 21 year old male. I have been having tingling and sometimes shock pains mostly in my hands and sometimes feet. I have had blood work done for vitamin deficiency and it came back normal accept a low vitamin D and high Folate. I have been tested for Lyme, Raynard s disease and Celiac disease (which my father has), all are negative. I had an enlarged parotid gland which they did a procedure on and found nothing. My paternal grandfather had Polyarteritis Nodosa. The pain happens at random times. I have seen my primary and a Neurologist. Any suggestions? Thank you, Joe

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists you can consult a neurologist and get evaluated to rule out possible causes like neuropathic pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
