What Causes Painful Urination After Sex?

whenever i have sex with my boyfriend the next few days i have severe problem when i urinate. I get a sharp pain every time i want to urinate and this time i had a little bleeding. The flow of urine is also not good, i feel the urge to pass urine very badly only to discover just a few drops of urine passing. Is this how it will be everytime i have sex? Is there a way to avoiding this completely?

Hello!
Thanks for your query.
Often what will happen is that during sex the urethra where urine exits the body gets compressed and massaged so can become swollen and sore thus causes burning when peeing directly after sex.
Thrusting and vaginal dryness can also add to the problem, in which case you may have burning while peeing for a few days after sex.
If however the burning while peeing starts a day or so after sex then this is a sign of a urinary tract infection (UTI), normally it burns when you start peeing and gets worse as you empty your bladder.
Take care
