What Causes Painfull Ear Lumps?

hello doc,Good morning. my 2 1/2 yr old daughter has got a small lump just at the opening of the ear..she is complaining of pain since yesterday i gv her combiflam syp. My question is sir wat it could be and is it going to be a serious thing? pls suggest.. thanx

Thank for asking to HCM.
Your daughter clinical history is suggestive of furuncle which is common in children . It is painful condition .
If I were your daughter treating doctor, I would advice her local antibiotic+steroid ointment thrice daily by sterile ear bud , syrup antibiotic Ofloxacin + ornidazole & combiflam syp .
Certainly above treatment will give your daughter much relief but if relief is not upto satisfaction level then consultation with your ENT doctor will become essential.
