What Causes Painless Bulging Ridge In Stomach Area?

I also get a painless bulging ridge in stomach my stomach, from my sternum to my belly button, when leaning back and or getting up from a leaning back position. Yes, I too have a beer belly but otherwise I am not obese, 5 8 inches and 180lbs. Many of the answers below do not adequately address the situation, I don t think, because my 2 and 1/2 year old grandson has the same thing and he s never in pain, and he certainly is not obese by any means. What is the answer to this malady. Or is it a malady, or just a somewhat or semi common occurrence?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history, you are having Lipoma. My treatment advice is :

1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Only curative treatment is excision under local anesthesia done by a dermato-surgeon.
