my 29 yr old son has a painless white spot on his tongue for about 6 months. he said he thought nothing of it till another spot came out. he doesnt smoke or drink. he went to the denitst and he said he didn't think it was cancer but he will do a biopsy this monday to be on the safe side. my son has had a lot of problems with his tonsil since he was little. he really needs his tonsil remove. could this have something to do with it
I have gone through your query and can understand..
As per your complain a painless white spot over tongue for period of 6 months does not seems to be a normal finding and it looks like something abnormal only and can be a leukoplakia patch or a malignant ulcer but any confirmation can be done only after a thorough clinical evaluation and biopsy report and once the cause is confirmed treatment can e then only planned for it.. As you have got the biopsy done you should get the reports and then can consult your treating physician and get evaluated so that he can correlate clinical and biopsy features and make a confirmatory diagnosis.. You can also revert me back here so that I can guide you better..
Hope this information helps..
