What Causes Pale Yellow Discharge After Using Monistat For Yeast Infection?
I am pretty sure I had a Yeast Infection so I used Monistat 1 this morning (which resulted in some rather unexpected burning for about 30 min. to an hour). I had the regular white discharge from the medicine but just recently the discharge was pale yellow. I have no more pain or burning, and everything seems fine. Is this normal?
Presence of yellow discharge is concerning for vaginal bacterial infection. However, if you do notice any pain, irritation or further discharge, then infection is not a concern. But if these symptoms persist and recur, then vaginal swab and microscopy are required to rue out infection.
