What Causes Palpitations And Nausea?

I m not feeling well. I have a chronic pain that is between my ribs on the left side that is being treated with long term opioids, changed one month ago from butrans to oxycontin becuase i started breaking out in a rash at the patch site. My blood pressure is 143/97, HR 60 s -70 s, O2 sats in the high 90 s, temp 97.8, resp low teens. I have been hurting more today when i take a deep breath and on the left sife of my head and back of my neck. I am nauseated and feel like my heart is fluttering. How concerned should i be? I do have a history or cardiac effusion r/t steroids, but am currently not taking steroids.

Hi,

A cardiac disease is being suspected, so theses are not the symptoms that suggests the heart disease. To rule this out, ECHO and imaging study can prove the effusion so it is just out of the question. Rib pain could be due to muscular spasms.
It may be happening due to wrong posture, no need to be over conscious; it may not be a serious condition.

Hope I have answered your query.
