What Causes Palpitations At Night Time?

I have an occasional rapid heartbeat. When I first started with it the Drs diagnosed me with Graves disease. But after 2 years or so I the Dr said that either I had gone into remission or it has gone away. I take propranolol and i was fine until about 1 month ago. I was retested for the Graves but that was normal. My Dr upped the dosage of the propranolol but I am still concerned that it is something else. The palpatations are usually at night.

Welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

For the thyroid dysfunction the dose of medicine need to be adjusted on time to time basis and it is usually being increased so no need to worry about this, stop getting ideas you can not say that it must be something else but of course you can complaint the doctor for your symptom and you can discuss about the diagnosis, if still it is creating the doubt then you can go for second or third opinion, try to come out of the stress, stop worrying, anxiety and stress may be the reason for having different ideas.

Hope I have answered your query,
