my wife just had a root canal.everything went well except that night the right side of her face started going numb. it is still that way a day later.should she be worried? her dentist said it should be better in a few days.any ideas? we are scared....

Hello, I've gone through your query. The effect of the anesthetic usually wears off within 2-3 hours after the procedure. With what you have described i feel that it is definitely a complication. it could be a parasthesia (an abnormal sensation). I feel you should consult another dentist regarding this. Please don't delay any further thinking it will resolve on its own.
