What Causes Passage Of Black Thick Sticky Discharge During Pregnancy?
I am 6 weeks pregnant and started bleeding last week. I went to see my doctor and he confirmed that my cervix is closed and we saw the heartbeat. He has put me Utrogestan. Yesterday I passed a thick, brown/black/red discharge... It was sticky and stetchy to the touch. What is this ?

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Spotting in early pregnancy can be due to abortion or subchorionic bleed.
If the ultrasound is normal,then these are ruled out.
The discharge you had most probably be the collected blood and discharge in the cervix which had come out.
There is nothing to worry.
