What Causes Passing Of Fresh Blood Along With Bowel Movement In Child?
my 6 year old son has been passing fresh blood after bowel movement on and off for a year,was refered to consultant who gave him laxative,after months of no trouble he has just passed blood into bowl and onto toilet paper,he does not suffer from constipation,although does strain.

As per my long term surgical experience, the commonest cause of blood in stool for a six-year-old child is a rectal polyp. Strongly recommended undertaking proctoscope examination for the confirmatory diagnosis with a consultant surgeon.
