What Causes Pelvic Pressure After Removing A Stuck Tampon?

I went to gyno today and they removed a tampon that was up there for over two weeks that I forgot about. Now that the tampon is out, is there anything I should do? It feels like there is pressure and discomfort in my pelvis/abdominal area. Any advice?

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. Since the tampon was left inside the vagina for a longer period, chances of infection are more. This needs proper clinical management. Pressure and discomfort in the pelvic area suggest pelvic congestion. Please check with your gynecologist if you need further treatment. If not, please avoid using tampons until you are healed well. Avoid intercourse for the time being. Avoid vaginal douches. Maintain proper genital hygiene using mild antiseptic solution. Take adequate rest and proper hydration. Hope this helps.
