What Causes Penis Shaft Lumps?

This past monday, I noticed a small bump/ or boil on the left side of my shaft. Both my partner and I are STD free. For the past week, I have noticed the tip forming a white head, similar to a zit. I have left it alone until tonight when I noticed the white head popped itself- some puss came out and some blood. I have put some neosporine on the boil. Should I be worried? Should I see my doctor? Was the boil an infection or something more serious?

Thanks for query .

Based on the facts that you have posted you seem to have developed Staphylococcal infection of hair follicle (Boil) on shaft of your penis .

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefotaxime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

There is nothing to be worried about .
