What Causes Periodic Episodes Of Stomach Pain, Cramping And Gas?
Over the past year I have experience periodic episodes of stomach pain, cramping, gas and even nausea after eating certain foods. I had a sonagram and HIDA test last year and both indicated no problems with my gall bladder. Recently, I have begun to have these episodes more often even though I haven t eaten onions, etc. Could this still be my gall bladder even though the test last year indicated it was fine?
Dear-thanks for using our service. Gas ,cramping and pain most likely are related of what you are eating. Some foods as broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, onions, coffee, can produce a lot of gas that give you these symptoms. If you had negative HIDA and u/s,most likely the gallbladder is fine. There is always a possibility of gallbladder sludge giving the problem. I will recommend you to evaluate what you are eating and try to avoid things that produce gas.You can incorporate probiotics supplements too. I hope my advise has been helpfuo Dr.Sara
