What Causes Periodic Racing Of Heart Beat Leading To Dizziness And Breathlessness?

My 16 year old daughter dyes her hair frequently at home. For the past several months or more she has had periodic heart racing and pounding in her chest where you can SEE her heart beating in her clothing. It hurts her chest and she gets dizzy and feels that it's somewhat hard to breathe.

at the age of 16, young girl is likely to have mitral valve prolapse, essentially benign condition.however we need to rule our any other significant valvular lesion or other congenital lesion ...so she must get her echocardiogram done and i also suggest to get one ECG tracing while her heart is racing...if possible...also check her heamoglobin to rule our anaemia as cause of her symptom
