What Causes Periods In Every Two Weeks After Stopping Birth Control?

Hey so I ended my birth control a few months ago. I was on the pill for like a month. I had switched from the shot to the pill while I was on the shot I wouldn t get my period and I knew that it would stop before I went on the shot. Since I ve ended my birth control all together I ve noticed that I get my period every two weeks and it last about a week to a week and a half. I was wondering if this is normal? What should I do?

Hi, I think it can happen due to side effect of your pills, but to rule out the other reasons, do a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries. These will tell you if any other problem is there. To bring back your cycles to normal, you may need to start the hormonal pulls again. Discuss with your doctor. Hope I have answered your question.
