Hi there, was wondering if you could help me. I keep getting a bleeding throat. Sometimes there is a lot of red blood and overtimes there is less and its more brown coloured. I have had it for about 2 months now in varying levels but its been pretty consistent and hasn t gone away. I gave up smoking about 2 weeks ago but it doesn t appear to have changed anything and it still happens in varying degrees. I have tried looking into everything even whether it is something caused by oral sex but I think that is unlikely as it doesn t seem to bear any correlation. I don t have any cold like symptoms and usually my throat isn t even sore it just bleeds. I really have no idea what it is. I also have a healthy lifestyle, diet and exercise everyday. Any ideas?!
Considering all above I would like to say that all above have separate line of treatment. So you please consult your E.N.T.doctor for thorough examination and treatment.
Thanks for consulting H.C.M.

Hi Welcome in H.C.M. I understand your concern, here I would like to tell important causes of blood in sputum. 1- Ulcer in throat (base of tongue, tonsils, larynx). 2- Ulcer or infection at posterior part of nasal cavity or nasopharynx. 3- Lesions of lungs. 4- Lesions of retro molar area. 5- Diseases of blood as thrombocytopenia and leukemia. Considering all above I would like to say that all above have separate line of treatment. So you please consult your E.N.T.doctor for thorough examination and treatment. Thanks for consulting H.C.M.
