What Causes Persistent Bruised Feeling On Left Side Of Head?

Hello, I have had a persistent bruised feeling on the left side of my head for a couple of months now. I don t recall having any kind of injury that would cause this. However, I recently acquired a dense foam pillow which is somewhat harder than what I am used to. Could it be something as simple as this or should I get checked out by my Md?

Hello,

You should be very careful of the type of pillow you choose for yourself. When in bed you need to get adequate rest and get relieved of all stress and anxiety. If your bed mattress or pillow is not comfortable you may develop headaches, neck and shoulder discomforts. Your pillow should neither be too soft nor too hard, it should be such that the head, neck and shoulder contours fit into it so that it relieves all tensions & pressure. Anyways, you should get clinically examined to detect if there is any pathology developing to cause you discomfort. Get treated at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
