What Causes Persistent Chest Pain?

Doctor
I want to ask you behalf of my husband, my husband having chest pain(just beside the heart) for almost a year. he went to hospitals but still he have the pain. he did ECG also, but it was normal... can i know why is the chest pain still there for almost a year... the chest pain also i think it is connected to his back down his shoulder.. can you pls help me? wht is the next step we need to do? he is 29 years old

First of all, no need to worry for heart diseases because he is young (29 years) and having normal ecg.
Possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more likely.
So tell him to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
2. Avoid sudden jerky movements of chest.
3. Apply warm water pad on affected areas of chest and shoulder.
4. Take simple painkiller like paracetamol or ibuprofen.
Don't worry, he will be alright with all these.
