What Causes Persistent Ear Pain?

I had an ear ache a few days ago , and now have experienced pain in my neck muscle on the right said which is the same side as the ear ache. it has moved today into my shoulder. Started out feeling like a crick in the neck and the pain is now worse than that.

Persistent acute earache could be due to inflammation of ear canal or acute otitis media which is inflammation of middle ear..Please consult your doctor to examine the ear
