Hi,

Before making a diagnosis I need to check amount, volume and consistency of loose stools. There are many virus which can cause loose motion. Beyond that parasites such as amoeba can also cause loose motion. For treatment you should start ORS oral rehydration solution to prevent water loss and also add zinc sulphate syrup 5 ml once a day. This will reduce duration of diarrhea. Probiotics sachet can also be used to reduce severity. It can take 5-7 days to recover fully. You can contact me any time for health of your child.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
