What Causes Persistent Lower Back Pain After A Hysteroscopy Dilation And Curettage?

I am one week post-op after D/C hysteroscopy and experiencing persistent low back pain and continued spotting after beginning treatment for infection 2 days ago...could this be side effect of antibiotics (I m on two of them) or a sign of worsening infection?

Hi,

Increased unexplained pain not relieved with painkillers (in your case you have back pain), Increased discharge which is smelly and unpleasant spotting or even heavy bleeding are possible side-effects or complications of a Dilation & Curettage Hysteroscopy.

My advice to you is to consult your treating obgyn and discuss with him your new symptoms. You may need to adjust the antibiotics therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
