Hi, I am a type 2 diabetic. I recently had an angiogram through my wrist. After the procedure in recovery my BSL was 19.9, The highest it has ever been. I was given two injections in my waist of 6 and then 8 units of insulin. 24 hours later i have extensive numbness in my right hand and right buttock, right knee and ankle, this is ongoing. Hi,

Insulin administration doesn't produce numbness in the areas mentioned. There might be another problem which is coinciding with the angiogram. Yet, this numbness is not at all related to the Insulin and the angiogram.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Grace, General & Family Physician
