What Causes Persistent Pain And Swelling In An Injured Finger?
Hi i am XXXX From XXXX. I felt in accident with a cable cutter tool on 18 may 2016.in this my distal phalanx fractured in left hand finger next to thumb.almost my finger tip was cut off 3/4 & stiches done properly including bone alignment with little bit rotation.after 3 weeks stiches removed & taken x-rays.we found calcium is forming in between the gap & it is safe in finger plaster.doctor suggest me to keep it for 2 weeks more & it takes 6 weeks more to heal. Regularly i dont have pain but sometimes in walking too, standing on left leg, functioning left hand thumb i feel a itchy type of pain in fractured finger area. also swelling is continous on it. Could you please give some suggestions to this whole topic. Your reply will be thankfull. Kindest regards, XXXX Oil & gas analyzer engineer YYYY. Contact :- YYYY@YYYY +0000 or whts up @ +0000
The calcification within healing region, indicates excess bone formation most likely from body mechanics or intake of excess calcium medications or diet. As there is pain and swelling associated with this, I would strongly recommend to undertake an MRI of the hand for proper decision guidelines.
