What Causes Persistent Pain In Ribs After Consuming Alcohol?

Hi,I m a 51 yr. old male,,I ve had a strange dull pain in my right side just below my ribs for about 6 yrs now.It comes and goes,I dont have my gall bladder,the pain usually comes when over exerted or after a night of drinking heavy.Ive had several tests and have been told by dr s I have a fatty liver,but that thats not causing it,,Ive been told it could be muscle and my friends seem to think its psycho sematic,,Any clue?

Hi dear,
After going through your query i can say that it can be due to fatty liver , second option can be psychosomatic.first of all you should abstain from alcohol completely as it may produce more problems for you in future if you continue to taking it.
I usually prescribe to my patients thiamine and lorazepam in initial period who are abstaining from alcohol. you better consult a psychiatrist for deaddiction.
