My back & front of legs have been itching really bad to the point I scratch till i bleed. Now I ve discovered bruises on both side of the pelvic area where I had been itching. I go to the free clinic who have told me its dry skin and to use vaseline, which I have been doing for years now.
I need to have a look at the affected skin first to evaluate the changes. The bruise on both side of the pelvic are could be due to scratching or itchiness.
I advise keeping the area well clean. Apply fusidic acid to treat co-infection with bacteria after scratching.
Take antihistamine orally. When bathing, should apply olive or almond oil before bathing for 15 minutes, then, have the bath. After that you can use again vaseline or almond oil.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
