What Causes Persistent Sharp Pains On The Breast Bone?

I have a pinching feeling to the left of my breast bone - where you heart is. I have had this before _ about a year and a half ago and had all kinds of test and found nothing wrong with the heart. It is intermittent and comes and goes fairly regularly - It has been the last 2 - 3 days and is pretty sharp pain lasting approx. 1 - 2 seconds

Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that it might be due to following causes.
1.Heart problem- Most common cause of chest pain.It can be confirmed with ECG. if there is abnormality than you need to see doctor as soon as possible. If there is abnormal ECG than you might need urgent treatment.
2.Muscular pain
3.Gastritis pain due to increase acid production in the stomach.
