What Causes Persistent Sneezing And Chest Pain?

I have had a bug of some kind for the last several days. My lungs hurt, and they rattle at night - my nose runs sometimes but it is mostly clear. I sneeze every so often. I m concerned but also am willing to wait a week to see if it is a virus. What do you think I should do?

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Yes, you can wait for 1 week more as it seems viral infection mostly.
But if you are not improving after 1 week then consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system.
2. Chest x ray.
3. PFT ( pulmonary function test ).
Chest x ray is needed to rule out lung infection.
PFT is needed to rule out bronchitis.
Both are common with untreated viral upper respiratory tract infection ( URTI ).
So at present you can wait but if not improving then consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
