What Causes Persistent Vaginal Bleeding After Having Hysterectomy?

I had a hysteroscopy on Monday.Dr did the procedure due to a thicken endometrial canal lining which was discovered on an ultrasound. MRI disagreed but dr did the procedure. I never had any bleeding but since the hysteroscopy I have had to wear a pad. I was lead to believe I would bleed for a few days but it is 6 days later. Is this unusual ?

Hello,
Thanks for letting us know your health concern. I have gone through your query and would like to offer some information. It is common to experience some spotting or bleeding after any pelvic procedure. If your doctor performed a biopsy on the endometrium, you are likely to bleed for a few days, sometimes likened to a natural period as the endometrium is often shed. Since there is no respite even after 6 days, please inform your consultant. You may need styptics for control of the bleeding. Please maintain proper genital hygiene. Hope this helps.
