What Causes Piercing Chest Pain?

42yrs old female started with piercing left sided chest pain 2 nights ago that lasted appx. 1 min. (couldnt move while this occurred) it has been like a sore muscle since then with a periodic warming sensation in that same area. any thoughts on these symptoms? thanks

I can understand your concern.
Possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more.
But better to rule out heart diseases first because left sided piercing chest pain is common with heart diseases.
So get done ecg and 2d echo.
If both of them are normal then no need to worry for major heart related diseases.
Musculoskeletal pain is more likely.
So avoid movements causing pain. Avoid bad postures in sleep.
Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
Take painkiller and muscle relaxant drug.
Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
