Welcome to HCM
It sounds as if you are concerned about a possible
heart attack impending or fear some other cardiac issue.
Anytime a woman feels pain in the chest and is worrying about it, and has a history of
high cholesterol, I understand that you have good reason to be concerned. I cannot tell you what to do, but it might ease your mind, perhaps catch an early problem, if you check out this
chest irritation. Your doctor is trained to do observations for the patient.
Let me at least review the typical symptoms of a heart attack in women:
Women tend to have symptoms unrelated to the chest.
Examples:
Neck, jaw, shoulder, upper back or abdominal discomfort
Shortness of breath
Right arm pain
Nausea or vomiting
Sweating
Lightheadedness or dizziness
Unusual fatigue
Thank you for checking in for further guidance. I hope I was helpful. Kathryn Shattler, MS,RDN
