What Causes Pink Tint On Toilet Paper After Urination?

I have had a UTI twice before and I feel like I have one again. I haven t gone to the doctor yet to get a prescription (I have an appointment tomorrow). Last time I went to the bathroom (of course I didn t really have to go) when I wiped there was a pink tint on the toilet paper. Is this still a UTI or is it something else?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is probably a urinary tract infection, if it feels like it. Depending on your gender - and thence how you wipe - the blood could come from your anus which most likely would be caused by hemorrhoids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.

Regards,
Dr. Anders Mark Christensen
