What Causes Pinkish Discharge After Complete Hysterectomy?

I m 68, sexually active with my husband, had a complete hysterectomy (ovaries included) many years ago and just recently began to notice a very light pink discharge after intercourse. I stopped hormone therapy about 1 ½ years ago but don t have any problems with vaginal dryness at all during sex. I occasionally notice some slight discomfort during intercourse but it s nothing that would prevent intercourse. Should I be worried?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Pinkish discharge after intercourse can be due to local lesions in the vaginal vault or vagina., including vault cancer.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including pap smear and ultrasound, and get further management accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
